A method for managing driver program of image forming device, and a device thereof are provided to uninstall a driver program at an appropriate timing by using a number of tasks previously inputted and the number of tasks actually executed. A storage unit(110) is a memory including a memory area in which a driver program is installed for one or more image forming device. The storage unit stores a number of jobs predetermined for an installed driver program. A control unit(120) performs a specific task by using driver program, and counts the number of jobs executed. The control unit calculates the number of jobs actually executed, and compares with a number of jobs which is predetermined. A user interface processing unit(130) provides a UI for asking whether uninstall of a driver program is executed or not.
