A vessel for sampling blood comprising a solution containing a guanidine salt, a buffer, a reducing agent and/or a detergent, is newt. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for removing blood using the novel vessel; (2) a method for stabilizing the nucleic acids in blood comprising filling the blood in the novel vessel and optionally isolating the nucleic acid by known methods; (3) use of the solution of the novelty for the sampling of blood; and (4) a stabilized blood sample obtained by the method of (2). |
