A streaming distribution system for distributing streaming data through P2P data transfer using UDP holepunching and a method thereof are provided to enable clients receiving the data to transfer the data to other clients if data are transmitted to some of clients, thereby reducing a load of a server. A streaming distribution system comprises a streaming providing unit and a client information management unit. A streaming providing unit connects to the system. And the streaming providing unit transmits streaming data comprised of a plurality of section data classified by predetermined identifying information to each of clients requesting the streaming data. The client information management unit obtains information about the client. And the client information management unit transmits the information to another client connected to the system. |
