A cosmetic hair preparation which can have hair dressing properties, naturally finishing properties, and hair style retentivity on an excellent level. The cosmetic hair preparation contains a urethane-modified acrylic polymer having a structure in which the following urethane polymer chain part has been bonded to the following acrylic polymer chain part through a connecting part having a silicon-oxygen bond. Acrylic polymer chain part: a residue of an acrylic polymer obtained at least from an acrylic monomer (A) and a compound (B1) having a hydrolyzable silicon-containing group and a group having an ethylenically unsaturated bond and/or a compound (B2) having a hydrolyzable silicon-containing group and a mercapto group. Urethane polymer chain part: a residue of a urethane polymer (C) having a hydrolyzable silicon-containing group. The urethane-modified acrylic polymer preferably is one in which the connecting part is a silicone polymer chain part.
