A commercial broadcast method of a cable television done based on an in-band channel and a system thereof are provided to transmit advertisement contents based on the in-band channel and offer cable subscribers a advertisement service by processing the transmitted advertisement contents through a series of procedures, in real time. One or more advertisement content data to be used for the advertisement is converted to TS(Transport Stream) data through a TS conversion unit(150). The converted TS data is modulated through a QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) part(151). A combination unit(130) combines the modulated general broadcasting and additional information modulated by an out-of-band data modulating unit, and then transmits the combined result to a subscriber-side digital CATV set(200) through a cable network(300). The modulated advertisement content data is demodulated and restored through an advertisement contents receiving tuner and a demodulator(250).
