An apparatus and a method for labeling of an image, and an apparatus for detecting an image object and a recording medium using the same are provided to detect the object in an image by performing labeling technique effectively by using a memory and simple calculation. An apparatus for labeling of an image includes a detecting unit(110) detecting a value of a surrounding pixel in the pixel of the image. The surrounding pixel belongs to a region of labeling transformation matrix based on a basis pixel. And a labeling unit(120) in the apparatus converts a labeling value of the basis pixel into a new label value or the labeling value of the surrounding pixel.
