<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably manufacturing a laminate, in which there is no defective orientation (multidomain) and which has optical anisotropy of a high dichroic ratio, by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the laminate is provided with an optically anisotropic layer containing a lyotropic liquid crystal compound, and a base material, and comprises steps of: (1) preparing a solution containing at least one lyotropic liquid crystal compound and a solvent; (2) applying the solution prepared in the step (1) onto the base material having ≤20°C surface temperature to form an applied solution layer; and (3) volatilizing the solvent in the applied solution layer formed in the step (2) to orient the lyotropic liquid crystal compound during the volatilization time and form the optically anisotropic layer on the base material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
