PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image display device capable of displaying a guide image indicating at which curved surface a vertical cutting has been performed among curved surfaces along an observation object such as a blood vessel and intestines. SOLUTION: Plural viewpoints 5a to 5g are set inside an observation object included in a three-dimensional original image with a mouse (2), a curved surface (14) going through the viewpoints 5a to 5g is found, a straight line 5aL going through the viewpoint 5a and the curved surface (14) is displayed on a CRT monitor 1, the cutting position for the original image is set on the basis of the line 5aL, the original image is cut at the cutting position to construct a section image of the original image and the section image is displayed on the monitor 1. |
