PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a versatile building plate exhibiting a humidity control function on both front and rear faces, having an excellent humidity control function and ensuring ventilating performance. SOLUTION: A surface material 4 with a plurality of slits 3 formed in parallel at fixed spaces is disposed on the front face of a humidity control board 2 containing a humidity conditioning material. A plurality of front face side recessed grooves 6 intersecting the slits of the surface material and communicating with the slits are formed in parallel at fixed spaces on the front face side of the humidity control board, and a plurality of rear face side recessed grooves 7 are formed in parallel at fixed spaces on the rear face side of the humidity control board in positions not to overlap with the slits. The front face side recessed grooves and the rear face side recessed grooves communicate with each other in the whole or a part of the humidity control board, and the building plate is formed with vent passages extending from the slits of the surface material to the rear face of the humidity control board via the front face side recessed grooves and rear face side recessed grooves of the humidity control board.
