A composition for inducing or suppressing differentiation of a stem cell comprises a compound of the chemical formula I. In the chemical formula I: E is -(ZR4)- or -(C=O)-; G is not exist or is -(XR5)- or -(C=O)-; W is not exist or is -Y(C=O)-, -(C=O)NH-, -(SO2)-; Y is oxygen or sulfur; and X or Z is independently nitrogen or CH.
