PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the stable click force and operability of a sub lock mechanism. SOLUTION: This crescent lock comprises the sub lock mechanism 16 for irrotation of an operation lever 12 during locking. The sub lock mechanism 16 comprises: a rotor 18 attached to the rotating shaft 10 of the operation lever 12 and having an engagement step part 17 for sub lock on the peripheral surface; a sub lock operating piece 21 installed slidably between a sub lock position where the piece is engaged with the engagement step part 17 to stop the rotation of the rotor 18 and a sub lock release position and biased to the sub lock position side by a first biasing means 20; a cam 23 engaged with an engagement receiving part 22 formed in the sub lock operating piece to temporarily holding the sub lock operating piece at the sub lock release position when the sub lock operating piece is moved to the sub lock release position; and a second biasing means 24 for biasing the cam to the temporary holding position side. When the operation lever is rotated with the sub lock operating piece held at the sub lock release position, a part of the rotor swings the cam to release the temporary holding of the sub lock operating piece.
