PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood fiber amassed panel which can be manufactured using a broad-leaved tree or a needle-leaved tree suitable for reforestation, with high bending rigidity and excellent surface smoothness, and flooring which can satisfy a sufficient bending deflection criterium. SOLUTION: This amassed panel obtained by amassing wood fibers and integrally molding the amassed wood fibers with a binder, is 2.6 to 3 mm thick and has a density distribution ranging from 0.75 to 1.20 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. In addition, (a) the thickness of the surface layer part on both front and back sides of the amassed panel, is 0.1 to 1.3 mm, with not less than 0.95 g/cm<SP>3</SP>density, and (b) the thickness of the intermediate layer part is not less than 0.3 mm, with the density satisfying the level of not less than 0.75 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. Further, the advantages of this amassed panel are that the process to amass and integrate the wood fibers contributes to the utilization of the broad-leaved tree or the needle-leaved tree which can be chipped, as a raw material; therefore, a plywood using the wood of a tropical forest need not be used, and that the subject amassed panel is of high strength and rigidity because its density is high and the density distribution is deliberated. On top of that, the amassed panel features high surface smoothness by virtue of its high density nature and thence, no necessity to depend on the repair process, and can make available the flooring with best-suited strength without incurring an increase in weight beyond the necessary limit, in case the wood fiber amassed panel is stacked.
