PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device capable of giving notice of the abnormal stop of an opening/closing body during closing operation. SOLUTION: The opening/closing device comprises the opening/closing body 10 capable of closing downward while sliding, and abnormal time stop means 40 stopping the opening/closing body 10 during closing operation. Each abnormal time stop means 40 is provided with a flexible long-sized member 41 producing tension by the weight of the abnormally stopped opening/closing body 10, and a tension sensing means 43 sensing the tension of the flexible long-sized member 41 to output its sensing signal.
