PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid cable which facilitates impregnation of an insulation oil in manufacture and suppresses movement of the insulation oil in use. SOLUTION: A thickener portion 3a which increases adhesion when temperature rises is formed at the insulation layer 3 wound around the outer periphery of a conductor 1. Thereby, after impregnating the insulation oil in the insulation layer 3 at the manufacturing stage, when the solid cable is heated to a required temperature, the viscosity of the insulation oil can be increased. Accordingly, even if the temperature of the insulation oil in the solid cable changes suddenly at the time of load fluctuations or the like, movement of the insulation oil in diameter direction is suppressed and generation of void can be contained.
