PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for a tapered roller bearing capable of increasing load capacity by elongate the whole length of a tapered roller and stabilizing in strength and being excellent on assembling property. SOLUTION: The retainer for a tapered roller bearing is made of a resin wherein a resin reinforced material of 0-10 wt.% is filled up in an engineering plastic. A hooking section 15 capable of connecting with large ribs 8a, 8b arranged at large-diameter side ends of inner rings 2a, 2b is provided. A small-diameter side end 9a of a small-diameter ring section 9 and the most outer-diameter section 21 at an outer peripheral edge of a small end face 20a of the tapered rollers 3a, 3b are roughly arranged on a plane orthogonal to the bearing center axis at a bearing assembling state.
