<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate highly accurately the state of charge (SOC) of a secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 26 in a battery ECU20 calculates a total discharge amount of the secondary battery 20, and compares numerically the total discharge amount with a prescribed threshold. The prescribed threshold is set in a range of 400 Ah-1,600 Ah. When the total discharge amount is larger than the prescribed threshold, an OCV-SOC map is replaced with a map having a memory effect in the saturated state, and when the total discharge amount is smaller than the prescribed threshold, correction is performed into a map determined by mixing an OCV-SOC map in the initial state with an OCV-SOC map in the saturated state, and SOC is estimated by using the corrected map. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
