PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display for suppressing deterioration of a display image by preventing uneven thickness of a liquid crystal display panel 1. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes an array substrate 10, a counter substrate 20 disposed opposite to the array substrate 10, a liquid crystal layer LQ interposed between the array substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20 and a display part DYP comprising display pixels PX disposed in a matrix. A sealing material SL fixing the array substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20 to each other is disposed on the periphery of the display part DYP. The sealing material SL includes bent parts SL1 bent on a display part DYP side and the array substrate 10 has recessed parts 10A in the regions corresponding to the bent parts SL1 of the sealing material SL.
