<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device that condenses light from vertically mounted electrode type light-emitting diodes and emits it in the long the distance, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device is made up at least of an insulating case in which a phosphor film is prepared and an electrode installed in the insulating case, which is composed of a lead frame to which vertically mounted electrode type light-emitting diodes are joined. The insulating case has a spherical concave surface reflecting part inside. The interior of the insulating case is filled with a primary filler composed of a transparent member, and a phosphor film is formed on the primary filler. As to the vertically mounted electrode type light-emitting diodes, a bottom electrode is joined to the bottom part of the lead-like placement substrate, and is prepared close to right above the phosphor film. The upper electrode of the vertically mounted electrode type light-emitting diodes are connected to the lead-like connection substrate with a conductive connection member. Light from the vertically mounted electrode type light-emitting diodes is condensed by the spherical concave surface reflecting part, thus illuminating remote locations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
