<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simple generation of motion picture data having effective production by musical instruments or effectors. <P>SOLUTION: A template file previously defines a material frame allowing a still picture or a motion picture to be inserted, an effect for the image, a BGM as musical instrument to be piped during the reproduction of the image, images and a transition as a switching system between the images, according to a time code. A motion picture generating apparatus analyzes meta-data for each of the material frames of the template file selected by a user, also analyzes meta-data of an image retained by the user, and inserts an image having matched meta-data into the material frame of the template file.
