A bidirectional position tracking system using an electronic tag is provided to guide a distance from the center of a user to a position tracking object by using an electronic tag. A position tracking system includes a portable terminal(10A,10B), an electronic tag unit(20), and a tag reader unit(30). The portable terminal includes a wireless transmission and reception module(11), a GPS module(12), and a code input unit. The portable terminal is tracked by the GPS module. A digital map processor(14) indicates the position of a user terminal by using position information received from the GPS module. The digital map processor indicates position information of the user portable terminal and the tracking object portable terminal in a specific range around the center of the position. A code input unit(15) is used as the radio identification code input for confirming the position tracking information of a specific portable terminal. The electronic tag unit automatically transmits the wireless identification code and the position information received through the GPS module in a regular time by using the wireless transmission and reception module. The tag reader unit automatically collects the position information and the wireless identification code automatically transmitted in the electronic tag unit in a regular period in real time. |
