ALGORITHM OF INTERPOLATION APPLIED TO YMCG COLOR FILTER ARRAY

A color interpolation method used in Y.M.G color filter arrays is provided to save hardware resources and shorten a calculation speed. Each image data set provides an image data array including the (M+1)/2 row, one center image data value of the (N+1)/2 column and a plurality of image data sets. A horizontal direction color interpolation value of a target image data value of the first interpolation operation is calculated by performing the first interpolation operation with regard to the first image data set. A vertical direction color interpolation value of a target image data value of the second interpolation operation is calculated by performing the second interpolation operation with regard to the first image data set. An inclination direction color interpolation value of a target image data value of the third interpolation operation is calculated by performing the third interpolation operation with regard to the first image data set.
