A text message compression method is provided to include the character of sentence altogether in a message in case the size of the sentence is greater than limited capacity which a terminal could transmit once by deleting marks and space included in the sentence. A terminal senses that a sentence whose size is greater than limited capacity is inputted. The terminal secures space in which letter of sentence could be altogether inputted by deleting space between words. When a new character is inputted, space between words is deleted. The terminal senses that a sentence whose size is greater than limited capacity which the terminal could transmit once is inputted. The terminal deletes marks included in the sentence and secures the space in which sentence could be altogether inputted. The symbol in which the terminal is included among is deleted and is secured. When a new character is inputted, a part of marks is gradually deleted.
