Provided is an end mill capable of improving the anti-defectiveness of cutting blades thereby to elongate the lifetime and preventing a milling object from generation of burrs so that a satisfactory milling operation can be performed. In the end mill, a plurality of helical chip discharging grooves (4) twisted on an axis (O) are formed in the outer circumference of the leading end portion of an end mill body (1) to be rotated on the axis (O), and cutting blades (5) are formed on the ridge portions of the outer circumference of those wall faces of the chip discharging grooves (4), which are directed forward of the end mill rotating direction (T). The cutting blades (5) are so honed that the honed extents at the individual cutting blades (5) are varied in the direction of the axis (O).
