The system for fastening posts (5) in the ground comprises a conical sleeve (1) with a screw thread (8) on the outside. The sleeve is screwed into the ground, the post is inserted and the space between the sleeve and post filled with a granular filler (6). A wire mesh sleeve (10) whose mesh is finer than the grain size is inserted inside the main sleeve. Independent claims are included for: (A) a method for mounting posts in the ground using the system; and (B) a method for removing them from the system.
