INFORMATION STORAGE MEDIUM AND ITS RECORDING AND/OR REPRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize and record and/or reproduce parameters of disk-related information and recording-related information updated with change in recording speed or a version number even by using a conventional version drive together. SOLUTION: In a computer reproducible medium which is encoded by an instruction for a method recording/reproducing data for the information storage medium by detected disk information read out from the information storage medium and deciphered by the computer, the method includes a step in which first and second disk information are detected from the information storage medium and the first disk information transmits different information for one out of disk version number and recording-related information, a step for deciding whether any one out of the first and the second disk information can be used by a drive transmitting data for the information storage medium or not, and a step in which data is transmitted between the drive and the information storage medium by decided information out of the first and the second disk information.
