An electronic wallet apparatus and a communication method are provided to communicate a selected contactless IC card by accurately selecting a desired card from a plurality of contactless IC cards which are carried at the same time regardless that the contactless IC card corresponds to an anti-collision. A receiving portion receives a plurality of contactless ICs(Integrated Circuit) cards(1A,1B,1C) which communicate an external device(20) contactless. An antenna for outside communication(107) performs contactless communication with the external device. The antenna for card communication performs the contactless communications with a plurality of contactless IC cards accepted in the receiving portion. When the communications request related to a predetermined service is received from the external device through the antenna for outside communication, a card selection part(130) reduces candidates of the contactless IC card used in communications with the external device from a plurality of contactless IC cards accepted in the receiving portion. A card selection part selects one or more contactless IC cards.
