PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking toy having a simple structure and giving energetic feeling. SOLUTION: The walking toy is constituted so that at least a set of left and right legs are provided in the toy body and are connected to each other with a connecting member, and a vertically extending shaft is raised at the center in the horizontal direction of the connecting member and supported on the fixed part of the toy body, and a leg moving means which moves at least the set of left and right legs alternately and longitudinally by turning the connecting member around the axis of the shaft is included. The leg moving means includes a rocking link that makes a rotary pair at a position away from the shaft of the connecting member and that oscillates by a motor power or a spring power to turn the connecting member around the axis of the shaft. At least in the set of left and right legs, the shaft is supported on the toy body so that an inclination with respect to the vertical direction varies by the oscillation of the rocking link, with the soles of the left and right legs designed to alternately touch the ground.
