PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent intrusion and solidification of ink between a doctor blade and upper and lower members thereof, and waviness of the cutting edge of the doctor blade in a doctor holder adapted to fix the doctor blade to a holder body by a plate spring-made presser plate. SOLUTION: The doctor blade 11 is nipped and held between the holder body 12 and a holder plate 14. The holder plate 14 is adapted to press the doctor blade by a pressing means 15 including the plate spring-made presser plate 22, a support point member 23 which forms a support point for rotating the presser plate when the rear end thereof is lifted up, and a pressing shaft 25 capable of pushing up the rear end of the presser plate by being rotated. The doctor blade is pressed in surface contact while uniforming the pressing force by working the pressing force by the presser plate on the doctor blade through the highly rigid holder plate whereby intrusion of ink and waviness of the doctor blade cutting edge are prevented.
