The disk has a friction ring (16) and a wheel flange (10) connected together by an intermediate component (14). The intermediate component is movably connected with the wheel flange in axial direction, where the flange is made of cast material. A molded part of the intermediate component comprises a toothed segment that provides an axially movable and radially firm arrangement of the intermediate component at the wheel flange. A spring element (40) is provided between the intermediate component and the wheel flange and moves the friction ring to a desired position. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a brake disk.
