PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed rectangular storage battery with high reliability against a load to an electrode terminal part, in the battery with an electrode terminal protruded on an end face wall of both ends in a long side direction of a rectangular battery case. SOLUTION: Terminal holes 10 are formed on end face walls 8 of both ends in a long side direction of a rectangular battery case 2, and the electrode terminals 12 are fitted in the terminal holes 10. Moreover, thicknesses of the vicinity of the terminal holes 10 of the end walls 8 of the battery case 2 are different from each other on both sides of the terminal holes 10.
