PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for a brightness-enhancing sheet, having high light transmittance to achieve high brightness when using as a base film of a brightness-enhancing sheet, and having high ultraviolet transmittance to quickly perform an ultraviolet curing process in forming a prism layer. SOLUTION: The polyester film for a brightness-enhancing sheet is composed of a polyester film and a coating layer formed on the film, wherein the coating layer is composed of an acrylic resin and fine particles having an average particle diameter of 1-20 nm and a refractive index of 1.30-1.40.
