The switch system (10) has a transponder (12), a read coil (14) and a control device electronically connected with the read coil. The transponder is moved in an area of the read coil by an assigned actuating element (16) and the transponder receives data by the read coil. The data is transmitted by the transponder to generate a control and regulating signal by the control device depending on the received data. A respective switch function is released and lifted by the control and regulating signal generated by the control device. The actuating element has a tappet made of plastic.
