METHOD FOR ESTIMATING FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCE OF SMOOTH INTESTINAL MUSCLES IN EXPERIMENT

A method for estimating the functional competence of the smooth intestinal muscles in the experiment provides for the assessment of the state of the intestinal wall. The amplitude of the inhibiting synaptic potentials evoked by the intramural electric stimulation of the bands of the smooth intestinal muscles of the annular layer within the resection area is measured. When the amplitude exceeds 3.0 mV, the smooth intestinal muscles are regarded as functionally competent.
