SYMBOL DETECTING APPARATUS OF DSSS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND SYMBOL TIMING RECOVERY METHOD THEREOF

A symbol detecting apparatus and a symbol timing recovery method are provided to restore output timing of an exact sample signal using current and previous correlation value without a complicated calculation in a DSSS(direct sequence spread spectrum) communications system. A symbol timing recovery unit(200) outputs a corresponding sample signal in synchronization with a predetermined out time. A differentiation unit(300) removes a frequency offset by differentiating the sample signal from the symbol timing recovery. A timing synchronization unit(400) detects symbol synchronization according to a preamble signal included in the sample signal from the differentiation unit and a correlation value with a standard preamble signal. A symbol detection unit(500) detects a symbol by using the correlation value with the standards sequence signal and the sample signal from the differentiation unit according to the symbol synchronization from the timing synchronization unit.
