PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pest insect trap excellent in the capture performance (capturing ability) of pest insects and usability on a field necessary for capturing pest insects such as horticultural facilities and kitchen gardens, easily producible at a low cost and giving low environmental load. SOLUTION: The pest insect trap is composed of a hollow spherical main body 11 having a plurality of openings (slits) 11b allowing the intrusion of pest insects into the main body and thin strips (narrow bands) 11a, vessels 1 placed at the upper and the lower ends of the main body 11 and having a top part 12 and a bottom part 13, a capturing member 2 (a transparent adhesive layer 21) placed at the inner side and/or outer side of the vessels 1 and capable of capturing the pest insects contacting with the outer surface of the vessel 1 and/or intruded into the vessel, and a fixing member 3 penetrating through the top part 12 and the bottom part 13 of the vessels 1 to enable the fixing of the vessel 1 at a prescribed position.
