The invention provides an electronic device and method for exchanging information. The invention has the purpose to conveniently and rapidly exchange information between NFC electronic devices. In order to achieve this purpose, the electronic device in this invention comprises: an information storage unit that stores plural pieces of information, the information being associated with predetermined categories respectively; and a wireless communication unit that detects approaching of a counterpart electronic device, and conducts an information exchange with the counterpart electronic device, wherein the wireless communication unit exchanges the information associated with a specified category. With this invention, users can exchange different information according to various occasions conveniently. |
