The present invention provides a novel vinylidene chloride resin composition that excels in thermal stability and enables the extrusion of films at a high extrusion rate; a biaxially stretched film that is manufactured from the vinylidene chloride resin composition and excels in barrier properties and transparency; and a multilayer film including the stretched film. The copolymer resin composition contains a vinylidene chloride-methyl acrylate copolymer resin that has a content ratio of methyl acrylate component of no less than 4 wt. % and no more than 6 wt. % and a weight-average molecular weight, determined by gel permeation chromatography, of no less than 60,000 and no more than 80,000 and contains as additives predetermined volumes of: (a) an epoxidized vegetable oil; (b) 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol; (c) dl-alpha-tocopherol; (d) a thiodifatty acid dialkyl ester; and (e) an ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid salt. |
