The invention relates to nanoparticulate systems for the release of biologically-active molecules comprising chitosan polymer or the derivatives thereof, modified chemically with polyethyleneglycol and cross-linked with a cross-linking agent. Said systems are particularly suitable for pharmaceutical compositions, vaccines and cosmetic formulations.
