PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized and heat resistant checking hinge. SOLUTION: This checking hinge mechanism comprises a hinge female part 10 rotatably holding a center pin 11 disposed at the lateral one end of a vehicle body side part and a checker pin 31 disposed at the lateral other end, and a hinge male part 20 having a long checker plate 30 extending from the checker pin 31 and having a stopper 37 at the other end, a pin bearing 24 rotatably holding the center pin 11 of the hinge female part 20, and checker case 28 extending through the long checker plate 30 and imparting a sliding resistance to the checker plate 30 by bringing a slider into contact therewith. The checker plate 30 is formed of a metal belt and a heat-resistant synthetic resin integrally molded around the metal belt. The slider is formed of a heat-resistant synthetic resin.
