<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device having construction for improving barrier property against water vapor or oxygen entering into an organic EL element formed on a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL device comprises the substrate 10, the organic EL element 20 formed on the substrate 10 across an organic EL layer including a luminescent layer between a pair of electrodes at least one of which is transparent or semi-transparent, a sealing layer 30 having a plurality of inorganic substance films and organic substance films alternately laminated for sealing the organic EL element 20, and a sealing glass substrate 40 arranged in close contact on the uppermost organic substance film 33-n of the sealing layer 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
