PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying roller capable of preventing breakage of a bearing by improving the heat radiation of the bearing, and a conveying roller cooling system using the same. SOLUTION: The conveying roller 10 comprises a roller 1, a pair of bearings 2a, 2b, a hollow shaft 3, and a fixing unit 3d for fixing the hollow shaft 3 to a base 20. The hollow shaft 3 is hollow, and the fixing unit 3d of the hollow shaft 3 is connected to an air pump 30 via a tube 6. The air pump 30 takes in air from the outside and exhausts it into the tube 6. Small diameter holes 3a, 3b, 3c are provided between the bearings 2a, 2b of the hollow shaft 3 and caps 5a, 5b. Air fed out from the air pump 30 enters spaces between the bearings 2a, 2b and the caps 5a, 5b, or between the hollow shaft 3 and the roller 1 to exhaust the waste heat after cooling the bearings outside from the spaces between the roller 1 and the caps 5a, 5b.
