Vibration absorbing structure for a drive shaft of a needle vibration in a zigzag sewing machine is provided to reduce an overrun phenomenon of the drive shaft and to prevent abrasion of the drive shaft or a connecting member. Vibration absorbing structure for a drive shaft of a needle vibration in a zigzag sewing machine includes an actuator(20), an elastic pressure unit(30), and a first/a second clamping force generating units(24,38). The actuator generates driving force. The elastic pressure unit generates the elastic pressing force connected with an operation of the actuator. The first and second clamping force generating units are installed on the both side of a connecting member vertically and give the clamping force to the driving shaft of the needle vibration.
