The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I) wherein U, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, L, V, X, n and the bond ===== between the carbon atom Ca and the carbon atom Cb are as defined in the description and claims, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and/or pharmaceutically acceptable esters thereof. The compounds are useful for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of diseases which are associated with 2,3-oxidosqualene-lanosterol cyclase such as hyper cholesterolemia, hyperlipemia, arteriosclerosis, vascular diseases, mycoses, gallstones, tumors and/or hyperproliferative disorders, and treatme nt and/or prophylaxis of impaired glucose tolerance and diabetes.
