<p>The invention relates to a motor vehicle front end, the vehicle comprising two main side members (4), two rigid wing linings (110), and two upper side members (114) secured to the wing linings (110) and positioned vertically at a higher level than the main side members (4), the front end (1) comprising two headlamps (118), two support arms (16) extending under the headlamps (118), means of connecting the headlamps (118) to the support arms (16), and means (120) for holding the upper side members (114) together in the event of a "high-speed" impact, the cohesion means (120) for holding the side members together comprising a plurality of rigid elements (16, 10, 8) joined to one another and means (122) for rigidly attaching the said rigid elements (16, 10, 8) to the two upper side members (114) in such a way that the said rigid elements (16, 10, 8) create a rigid structure able, in the event of a high-speed impact on the front of the vehicle, to transmit the load resulting from the impact to the upper side members (114) while at the same time keeping the said upper side members (114) more or less in position relative to one another.
