An electrode cooling plumbing jacket of a spot welding machine capable of shutting cooling water by a simple operation and preventing the cooling water from flowing out from a shank when an electrode is removed. A transversal hole (1h) crossing a supply path (1d) and a drain path (1e) is formed on a plumbing jacket body (1). A rotating member (6) with a shape corresponding to the internal surface of the hole (1h) is rotatably provided in the transversal hole (1h). Circulation holes (6f,6g) passing through the side face of the rotating member (6) are formed on the member (6).The above structure is constituted such that the circulation holes (6f,6g) align with the supply path (1d) and the drain path (1e) respectively when the rotating member (6) is located at a predetermined position on the jacket body (1), although the holes (6f,6g) do not align with the paths (1d) and (1e) respectively to cause the rotating member (6) to shut flow paths of the supply path (1d) and the drain path (1e) when the member (6) is rotated by a predetermined angle from the predetermined position.
