PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine having an inexpensive constitution and capable of accurately detecting the vibration of a water tub. SOLUTION: A drum type washing/drying machine includes acceleration sensors 27a and 27b for detecting the vibration generated in the water tub 2 by outputting signals according to acceleration in one directions. The both acceleration sensors are attached to the water tub 2, so that the front-side acceleration sensor 27a outputs a signal according to the acceleration in the radial direction to an axis C, and the rear-side acceleration sensor 27b outputs a signal according the acceleration in a direction orthogonal to the radial direction.
