PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image photographing system capable of improving mutual handling easiness for a radiation detection cassette and a mobile radiation generator, and the radiation generator. SOLUTION: The radiation image photographing system 10 includes: the radiation detection cassette 24 provided with a radiation detector 40 for detecting radiation X transmitted through a subject and converting it to radiation image information and a transmitter-receiver 48 connected to the radiation detector 40 for transmitting the radiation image information to an image processing part 112; and the radiation generator 28 provided with a radiation source 32 for irradiating the subject with the radiation and a power feeding means 30 for feeding power to the radiation detection cassette 24 by radio.
