The carrier plate element with the circularly arranged light source including the illumination device and the camera are arranged on a variable, individually movable and adjustable light incidence angle supplied light shaft tube (18). A tube inner side of the light shaft tube is formed in a mat-white manner, and has an external screen (20) at its end region and facing test objects (13). An independent claim is also included for a method for recognizing objects.
