PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual fuel diesel engine using light oil and biogas produced by the anaerobic fermentation of organic waste, as fuel and stably attaining highly efficient operation with simple fuel supply control. SOLUTION: In this diesel engine 1 operated using the light oil serving as main fuel, and the biogas produced by the anaerobic fermentation of organic waste, as the fuel, a supply pipe 9 of the biogas is connected to an intake pipe 8, and the mixed gas of air and biogas is supplied to the combustion chamber of the diesel engine. It is further preferable to supercharge the mixed gas by a turbocharger not equipped with an intercooler. |
