Bulk intermediate product for producing solid bodies

The intermediate product in pellet or granulate form for the production of solid body e.g. furniture by a spraying, extrusion, casting or shaping method, comprises soft wood fibers (30-60%) with a maximum length of 250 mu m and/or thermoplastic with a melting point of below 300[deg] C, and a coupling agent e.g. maleic anhydride, dye, free-radical scavenger and hydrophobizing agent between the plastic matrix and fiber. The thermoplastic has a particle size of 95% greater than 1.5 mm. The intermediate product has a moisture content of 2.5% and an apparent density of 350-850 g/l. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of solid body.
